Join us for a national convening about the illicit massage industry - one of the most prolific and misunderstood forms of human trafficking in the United States.
The two-day gathering will provide a collaborative space to learn from professionals across the anti-trafficking field, along with expert training on promising and effective strategies to combat human trafficking in illicit massage businesses.
The convening will be educational and action-oriented: to both improve understanding of the issue and to equip professionals with the insights, tools, and best practices that will lead to positive impact.

Convening Information
This two-day event is designed for law enforcement, massage therapy regulators, code enforcement officers, victim service providers, and government officials who are seeking to enhance their response to human trafficking in the illicit massage industry. The event is closed to the public and participation is by co-host invitation only.
There will be a mix of training sessions, case studies, and panel discussions. Content will highlight promising and effective strategies to build capacity for a more comprehensive response to this particular form of exploitation. This includes creating inoperable environments for IMBs, criminal case investigation and prosecution, ordinance reform, civil enforcement, cross-agency collaboration, and access to culturally-appropriate service provision.
Registration
Thanks to the Renaissance Arlington Capital View and generous supporters of The Network, we are able to keep registration costs low. Early bird pricing is $65 if you register on or before Thursday, November 14, 2024. Registration cost will increase to $90 starting November 15. Registration includes access to the entire two-day agenda, coffee, breakfast, and lunches for both days.
If your organization would like to have an exhibitor table, please select the exhibitor table option during online registration. The cost of an exhibitor table is $50. If you have multiple people attending from your organization, only one person needs to select the exhibitor option.
There is a limited amount of scholarship funding available for attendees. Any scholarships offered will be determined on an as-needed basis. For more information, please contact convening@thenetworkteam.org.
There is no virtual attendance option for the convening.
Venue & Accommodations
The Renaissance Arlington Capital View has a designated hotel room block for registered convening participants. Discounted room rates are $159 per night for the two-day convening. Book this rate before December 16, 2024. Attendees should plan to check-in on Monday, January 13 after 4pm and have the option of staying two or three nights. The two-day agenda will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, January 14-15, 2025.
