Ms. Huang is a counselor, case manager, and court advocate for survivors of trafficking with a focus on Mandarin-speaking Chinese women. Since October 2016, she has worked with nearly 200 clients at Restore. She specializes in providing trauma-informed trafficking assessment and clinical services, particularly for Chinese women trafficked in the illicit massage industry. With her experiences in direct work, she has trained and provided technical assistance to over 30 partnerships across the US, including law enforcements, attorneys, service providers and community organizers. She co-authored the chapter of “Modern-Day Comfort Stations: Human Trafficking in the US Illicit Massage Industry,” in The Historical Roots of Human Trafficking: Informing Primary Prevention of Commercialized Violence (Chisolm-Straker & Chon Eds.) published by Springer in May 2021. Ms. Huang has a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Shanghai Normal University in China.
